Job Description
The Processor at Enviva is responsible for the continuous operation of the plant, including equipment setup, monitoring, safety, and quality control, working primarily with mechanical and measurement tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation
- Set up, maintain, and adjust machinery based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Load, process, and mark materials accurately during production
- Perform equipment maintenance, tooling changes, and troubleshooting as needed
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of work environment and common areas
- Cross-train and assist in other shop functions to support production needs
Requirements
- Complete understanding of operating equipment to include but not limited to forklifts
- 12 months experience in operating, loading, or unloading equipment
- Strong verbal communication skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Superior cognitive and systems knowledge to achieve production goals
- Proficient in mathematics and measurement
- Proficiency in maintaining the proper paperwork
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to visually detect damages and defects on tooling
- Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, and pushing/pulling for up to 12 hours a day
- Ability to push, pull, and lift items up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Willing and able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees
- Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
- Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to 12 hours a day
- Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery
- Willing and able to pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting productivity standards
