Job Description
The Process Reliability Engineer at Enviva is responsible for improving manufacturing processes, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency in a sustainable wood bioenergy plant, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- •Implement manufacturing process improvements to enhance throughput, reduce variation, and increase equipment reliability.
- •Support and develop capital projects through technical data analysis and development.
- •Diagnose and troubleshoot site process-related issues as the first point of contact.
- •Develop and implement corrective actions related to safety and process improvements.
- •Analyze process performance, identify gaps, and execute equipment and process modifications.
- •Create and maintain procedures aligned with OEMS standards.
- •Manage multiple process improvement projects using project management skills.
- •Collaborate with maintenance and plant teams to develop company-wide solutions.
- •Contribute to the plant safety program and ensure safety compliance.
Requirements
- •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- •7 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in wood or paper industry
- •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- •Willingness to respond to after hour calls regarding processes and equipment
- •Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- •Prior experience with LEAN manufacturing, FMEA, Process Hazards Analysis and or Process Control Systems
- •Prior experience in analyzing, estimating, and planning capital expenditures
- •Familiarity with heavy industrial equipment
- •Industrial experience in continuous flow process or similar industry where work outage planning is required
- •Must be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees
- •Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
- •Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
- •Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
- •Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery
- •Willing and able to pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
- •Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
