Job Description
A Senior Data Scientist at EnergyHub will develop algorithms and software tools to enable and evaluate grid services from distributed energy resources, leveraging machine learning and data analysis to support a clean, distributed energy future.
Responsibilities
- •Develop algorithms and software tools for enabling and evaluating advanced grid services from distributed energy resources.
- •Create mathematical models, write production-level code, prototype data products, and apply machine learning to energy IoT data.
- •Translate large-scale distributed energy data into actionable insights and software products for utilities and stakeholders.
- •Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders across various departments.
Requirements
- •At least 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning and or control systems engineering roles.
- •Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to apply new mathematical techniques to real-world problems.
- •At least three years of hands-on experience with Python and the scientific stack pandas, numpy, scipy.
- •An ability to find valuable insights in large, complex datasets.
- •Ability to explain results from large-scale data analyses to diverse audiences in a way that is clear, interesting, and actionable.
