Job Description
The Energy Efficiency Account Manager supports the development and maintenance of relationships with market actors such as HVAC, water heating, and commercial foodservice contractors and manufacturers to promote energy efficiency programs, drive market activity, and contribute to greenhouse gas reduction efforts through outreach, program support, and market analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain relationships with HVAC, water heating, heat pump manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and commercial foodservice dealers.
- Travel to market actor locations to support program performance, build rapport, and provide program support.
- Serve as a liaison between program leads and outreach/trade ally teams.
- Track, report, and analyze market activity, participation statistics, and economic data to predict market trends and monitor performance.
- Contribute to outreach plans for new and existing programs, including program launches.
- Support distributors and contractors with training, events, and rebate claim submissions.
- Participate in program meetings and planning sessions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related position with a Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 4 years of work experience in a related position in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Willingness to conduct frequent business travel locally, approximately 30-40% of the time.
- Ability to build relationships with market actors and trade allies through phone calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings.
- Familiarity with HVAC, Water Heating, and commercial foodservice industries preferred.
- Work experience in sales or at HVAC contractor, Water Heating, commercial foodservice, distributor, or manufacturer preferred.
- Ability to interact professionally with clients and present effectively in primary role.
- Excellent business acumen, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work and thrive independently.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Salesforce to track activity preferred.

Compensation range of $69,000 - $79,000 annually, commensurate with experience
