Job Description

The Energy Efficiency Account Manager supports the development and maintenance of relationships with market actors such as HVAC, water heating, and commercial foodservice professionals to promote energy efficiency programs, drive market activity, and contribute to greenhouse gas reduction efforts in a remote role near Milwaukee, WI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain relationships with HVAC, water heating, heat pump manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and commercial foodservice dealers.
  • Travel to market actor locations to support program performance, build rapport, and provide assistance.
  • Serve as a liaison between program leads and the Outreach and Trade Ally Team.
  • Track, report, and analyze market activity, participation statistics, and performance trends.
  • Contribute to outreach plans for new and existing programs.
  • Support distributors and contractors with program training, events, and rebate claim submissions.
  • Participate in program meetings and planning sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related position with a Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of work experience in related positions in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • Willingness to conduct frequent business travel locally within 30-40 miles
  • Experience with Energy Efficiency preferred
  • Ability to build relationships with market actors and trade allies and be comfortable through phone calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings
  • Familiarity with HVAC, Water Heating, and commercial foodservice preferred
  • Work experience in sales or at HVAC contractor, Water Heating, commercial foodservice, distributor, or manufacturer preferred
  • Exposure to construction supply chain is a bonus, but not required
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and present effectively in the primary role
  • Excellent business acumen and communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work and thrive independently
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Salesforce to track activity preferred
  • Compensation is within the pay bands of $69,000 - $79,000 annually, commensurate with experience
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Milwaukee, WI, Madison, WI, or be willing to relocate
