Job Description
The Guest Services Supervisor at the Empire State Building Observatory is responsible for overseeing daily operations and staff performance to ensure exceptional guest experiences at this iconic tourist attraction. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members.
Responsibilities
- •Oversee Observatory union front line personnel
- •Manage day-to-day guest flow and operations
- •Address guest concerns with professionalism and empathy
- •Inspire and motivate staff to maintain high standards
- •Communicate effectively with staff, guests, and third parties
Requirements
- •Experience in a supervisory role within a guest services environment.
- •Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate staff to perform at high standards.
- •Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- •High energy and enthusiasm for delivering superior guest service.
- •Effective communication skills with staff, guests, and third parties.
- •Availability to work rotating shifts, including opening and closing shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- •Direct oversight of Observatory union front line personnel and overall day-to-day guest flow and operations of the attraction.
- •Ability to address and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and empathy.
