Job Description
The Ink Coatings Specialist at Dioxycle will lead the formulation, characterization, and scaling-up of ink and MEA fabrication processes to support the company's transition from R&D to industrial piloting of innovative carbon utilization technologies.
Responsibilities
- •Formulate and optimize inks for electrode fabrication to produce high-quality MEAs at various scales
- •Characterize ink rheology, dispersion stability, and compatibility with coating techniques
- •Operate analytical tools such as rheometers, particle sizers, and zeta potential analyzers
- •Design experiments to explore relationships between formulation and performance
- •Develop and scale up fabrication processes for proprietary MEAs
- •Ensure reproducibility and transferability of ink formulation protocols to pilot-scale systems
- •Design pilot production line processes and evaluate/procure equipment
- •Integrate processes to establish a top-tier MEA fabrication line
- •Conduct hands-on work, analyze results, and document findings
- •Foster a culture of safety in the laboratory
Requirements
- •Possess at least a PhD or equivalent industry experience with a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- •Highly skilled and experienced candidates with 10 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- •Ability to formulate and optimize inks for daily electrode fabrication to produce high-quality MEAs for testing at different scales.
- •Ability to characterize ink rheology, dispersion stability, and compatibility with coating techniques.
- •Proficiency in operating analytical tools such as rheometers, particle sizers, and zeta potential analyzers.
- •Experience in designing experiments to explore formulation-performance relationships.
- •Experience in developing and scaling up fabrication processes of proprietary MEAs.
- •Ability to ensure reproducibility and transferability of ink formulation protocols to pilot-scale systems.
- •Experience in designing pilot production line processes, evaluating, and procuring equipment.
- •Capability to integrate processes to deliver a top-of-class MEA fabrication line.
- •Ability to conduct and document hands-on work, including analysis, post-processing, and interpretation of results.
- •Demonstrated commitment to actively fostering a culture of safety in the laboratory.
- •Willingness to work onsite in Paris, France.
