Job Description
A Metrology Engineer responsible for performing dimensional inspections and precise alignments of complex fusion device components using portable 3D metrology technology to ensure optimal assembly and performance of the SPARC fusion demonstrator.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize portable 3D metrology technology to perform dimensional inspections of SPARC systems and structures.
- Conduct precision alignments of key systems and structures within the dense device assembly.
- Follow the SPARC metrology plan to ensure accurate measurement and alignment of components.
Requirements
- Utilize portable 3D metrology technology to perform mid- to large-scale dimensional inspections and precision alignments on a wide variety of unique SPARC systems and structures according to the SPARC metrology plan.
- Have experience in performing dimensional inspections and precision alignments using portable 3D metrology tools.
- Possess the ability to work on mid- to large-scale systems and structures requiring detailed dimensional inspection and alignment.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment that values diversity of thought and creativity.
- Be able to contribute to a team environment with a pioneering spirit, enthusiasm, and a talent for execution.
