Job Description
The Portfolio Finance Senior Analyst supports the funding, transaction, and asset optimization processes for Clearway's renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery storage, by coordinating with investors, lenders, and internal teams to maximize project value and ensure successful project financing and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the investor funding process for wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects during construction and operations
- Identify and execute asset optimization transactions such as refinancing, acquisitions, and restructurings
- Update and maintain tax equity tracking models to monitor investor returns and financial outcomes
- Lead the cash distribution waterfall process and ongoing invoicing for operating projects
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure timely transaction closings and resolve challenges
- Summarize project transaction status, risks, and economic outcomes for senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-4 years of experience in project finance, portfolio finance, or M&A in the energy sector.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and understanding of key financial concepts such as discounted cash flow analysis, time value of money, internal rate of return, and net present value.
- Experience building, auditing, and/or updating complex project finance models, with the ability to quickly generate summary economics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable, demonstrating the ability to show up, be present, and eagerly engage in work tasks.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of projects and assignments.
- Understanding of financial, tax, accounting, and investment concepts.
