Job Description
The role involves conducting digital forensic investigations, cyber incident response, and cybercrime analysis to support clients facing security breaches, fraud, or misconduct, while managing project teams and contributing to business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute security and privacy investigations, including theft of trade secrets, cyber breaches, threat analysis, incident response, and malware analysis
- Perform forensic analysis of digital information using computer forensics techniques and tools
- Evaluate and implement new tools and processes to improve digital forensic and incident response capabilities
- Maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies to assist in criminal matters
- Prepare client communications regarding project milestones and findings
- Manage risk through quality control measures and documentation
- Participate in team recruiting, retention, and morale management
- Oversee the growth and professional development of junior staff members
- Provide technical assessments and guidance on cybersecurity controls based on industry frameworks
- Assist in business development by drafting proposals and coordinating with practice areas
Requirements
- Must have 5-7 years of experience in digital forensics, cyber intrusion investigation or incident response analysis.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience performing forensic analysis of digital information using standard computer forensics and evidence handling techniques and computer forensics tools.
- Experience in software development lifecycle, full-stack development, and performing source code review.
- Experience with data analytics engagements and contributing to the execution of technology-based best practices.
- Working knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems, file systems, computer networks, e-mail systems, mobile devices, IT security, or incident response.
- Deep knowledge of networking TCP/IP, design, traffic flow, protocols, sessions, operating systems Windows, Linux, and web technologies.
- Experience performing pixel tracking investigations.
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and meet timely deadlines.
- Experience in a hands-on technical role functioning as a digital forensic examiner, incident responder, network forensic analyst, or malware analyst.
- Providing technical assessment, audit, and guidance to clients on the adequacy of cybersecurity controls in accordance with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF 2.0, HIPAA, ISO 27001 and 27002, SOC2, NERC-CIP.
- Experience managing and supervising teams as appropriate.
- Experience managing risk by implementing quality control measures and documentation.
- Ability to interface with client personnel.
- Experience preparing client communications for project milestones and senior leadership.
- Experience participating in project team execution, analysis, and work product.
- Experience managing the growth and professional development of junior staff members.
- Experience supporting engagement teams led by senior personnel.
- Experience assisting in business development efforts by drafting proposals and coordinating with other practice areas within the firm.
