Job Description
The Consulting Associate in CRA's Energy practice conducts research and analysis on energy matters for a diverse range of clients, utilizing quantitative skills to deliver data-driven insights and engage directly with clients while collaborating with senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- •Conduct research and analyze economic and financial data
- •Build and run electric power system models
- •Perform database management and forecasting
- •Conduct industry, market structure, and competitor-positioning studies
- •Investigate and analyze market rules, regulations, and industry trends
- •Review and summarize analyst reports and client documents
- •Engage in client interactions and assist with client deliverables
- •Assist in the production of research summaries and expert reports
- •Ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses
- •Assist with whitepaper development and training efforts
Requirements
- •A strong interest in the energy industry.
- •A major in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Finance, Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- •3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- •Experience with MS Excel, programming languages, or other data analytics tools.
- •Ability to conduct research and use software to organize, analyze, and deliver data-driven insights.
- •Experience in performing a broad range of quantitative consulting tasks such as building and running electric power system models, database management, and forecasting.
- •Ability to analyze economic and financial data using spreadsheets and statistical programs.
- •Experience conducting industry, market structure, and competitor-positioning studies.
- •Ability to investigate and analyze market rules, regulations, industry trends, or other documents.
- •Experience reviewing and summarizing analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press.
- •Ability to engage in client interactions and assist with preparation of client deliverables.
- •Experience assisting in the production and development of research summaries, expert reports, and the presentation of findings.
- •Ability to ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses.
- •Experience assisting with whitepaper development, recruiting, and training efforts.
