Job Description
A Software Engineer in Test at Celonis is responsible for developing and maintaining test infrastructure, frameworks, and automation to improve testing and debugging processes across frontend and backend services, while mentoring junior engineers and enhancing overall software quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test infrastructure, data, and frameworks for frontend and backend services.
- Analyze the entire SDLC to identify inefficiencies in testing and debugging activities.
- Collect and report metrics and KPIs to measure progress towards continuous testing goals.
- Design and implement tools and measures to simplify testing and debugging processes.
- Enhance product testability by improving observability, code coverage, and test effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and building blocks to engineering teams for testing quality attributes.
- Integrate quality gates into Continuous Delivery pipelines for automated testing and early feedback.
- Guide the technical roadmap for test automation, including tooling, frameworks, and patterns.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 5 or more years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Proficient in more than one programming language including Java, Typescript, JavaScript, or Python
- Skilled at pulling and analyzing data from various sources, especially using SQL
- In depth knowledge of execution and analysis of test automation frameworks
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions
- Familiar with containerization technologies e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
