Job Description
The role involves building, operating, and maintaining a highly available cloud platform based on Kubernetes, focusing on automation, scalability, security, and best practices in DevOps and infrastructure as code within a microservices architecture.
Responsibilities
- •Build and operate a highly available Microservices Cloud platform based on Kubernetes
- •Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available software using modern technologies
- •Establish best practices and develop tools to promote CI/CD and infrastructure platform adoption by engineering teams
- •Automate operational tasks and manage infrastructure as code
- •Monitor and manage cloud environments by integrating telemetry and observability tools
- •Maintain best practices for notifications and incident response processes
- •Own various components within a cloud-native architecture
- •Implement DevOps infrastructure components and best practices
- •Deploy and manage CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
Requirements
- •Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- •Minimum of 5 years experience as a software engineer working with relevant platform infrastructure technologies
- •Experience developing and maintaining Cloud solutions in large Enterprise environments
- •Experience operating Kubernetes clusters in production across multiple infrastructures
- •Experience with at least one of the following cloud providers: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- •Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java
- •Proficiency in nix
- •Minimum of 2 years experience in building highly available, scalable, distributed systems in a microservices based architecture
- •Experience automating operational tasks and infrastructure as code
- •Experience deploying CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
- •Experience with Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and CI/CD practices
- •Hands-on experience with automation, monitoring tools, and practices including Kustomize, Datadog, Terraform, Grafana, Ansible, Bash, and GitHub Actions
- •Working knowledge of Containerization, network protocols, encryption, and security
- •Familiarity with working in an agile environment
- •Experience performing in an ambiguous environment
