Job Description
A Senior Backend Engineer responsible for maintaining and supporting Celonis' on-premise Process Mining application, facilitating its migration to the cloud platform, and ensuring system stability, security, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- •Own the full on-premises product lifecycle, including investigation, implementation, and delivery to customers.
- •Support and maintain product stability, security, and update dependencies.
- •Increase the reliability of software through continuous improvements.
- •Assist customers in migrating from on-premises solutions to the cloud-based Celonis Platform.
- •Automate development processes to improve efficiency.
- •Support Level 3 customer support in resolving complex technical issues.
- •Mentor and lead engineering team members to foster a collaborative culture.
Requirements
- •Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- •7 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- •Hands-on experience in Java, Spring, Hibernate frameworks.
- •Willingness to learn new programming languages like C 17.
- •Experience supporting and maintaining on-premises software products, including investigating, implementing, building, and delivering to customers.
- •Ability to support on-premises customers in their migration to cloud-based platforms.
- •Experience supporting Level 3 Support for customers investigating and resolving complex problems.
- •Experience working on microservices-based distributed systems.
- •Ability to navigate typical enterprise challenges such as security, compliance, scalability, and data consistency.
- •Exhibit excellent programming skills and a strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- •Experience with Windows and Linux OS management, including standard tools, commands, services, permissions management, debugging, profiling tools, and reading application and system logs.
- •Experience working in geographically distributed work environments.
- •Ability to take ownership of the full product lifecycle, including investigating, implementing, building, and delivering software.
- •Ability to support and maintain project stability and security, update dependencies, and implement new standards and protocols.
- •Strong understanding of complex data structures and algorithms in data management.
- •Analytical mindset with a curiosity about how things work and a desire to improve them.
