Job Description

The Database Strategy Manager at Celonis is responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow, govern, and enrich the company's marketing database, enabling targeted marketing campaigns and supporting sales efforts through data management, segmentation, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies for the growth and expansion of the marketing database
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage new data sources and acquisition channels
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and compliance
  • Oversee data enrichment, cleansing, and deduplication efforts to maintain database health
  • Collaborate on segmentation strategies to enable targeted marketing campaigns
  • Define and report on key performance indicators related to database health and growth
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools for database management and enrichment
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data flow, system integration, and alignment on data strategy

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing operations, database management, sales operations, or a strategic role focused on data.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing data growth strategies within a B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of marketing and sales funnels and how database quality impacts pipeline generation.
  • Experience working with Sales teams and Sales operations teams implementing and improving funnel processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM and experience with Marketing Automation Platforms such as Pardot, HubSpot, or Marketo.
  • Experience with data enrichment, cleansing, and governance tools platforms.
  • Experience with data governance, data enrichment, and data cleansing initiatives.
  • Experience with evaluating and recommending new technologies and tools to support database growth, governance, and enrichment efforts.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with Marketing Operations, Demand Generation, Sales Operations, Sales Development, and IT teams to ensure data flow, system integration, and alignment on data strategy.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with relevant data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across different teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with intent data platforms such as 6sense, ZoomInfo, or Demandbase.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS company.
