Job Description
The position involves assisting Carbon Direct with project reviews related to carbon dioxide removal and reduction technologies, suitable for advanced graduate students in climate science fields. The role includes preparing short reports based on project proposals under the guidance of a senior scientist.
Responsibilities
- •Assist with project reviews of carbon dioxide removal and reduction technologies
- •Conduct short report reviews following a set template based on six quality criteria
- •Work under the oversight of a Carbon Direct senior scientist
- •Ensure rigorous quality assurance and quality control (QA QC) during project assessments
Requirements
- •Advanced graduate students (Masters or PhD level) in climate science fields such as forestry, engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or ecology.
- •Ability to conduct project reviews that follow a set template and examine project proposals in the context of six quality criteria.
- •Experience working under the oversight of a senior scientist and subject to rigorous QA QC.
- •Willingness to engage in a deliverable-based payment schedule based on the anticipated length and complexity of each assigned review.
