Job Description
The Sr. Technical Leader will oversee technical project delivery and quality assurance for a large office or region, providing strategic guidance and support to project teams while ensuring adherence to firm-wide technical standards and processes.
Responsibilities
- •Manage and monitor technical project delivery and quality review processes.
- •Develop and implement strategies for continuous quality engagement.
- •Engage in project risk assessments and support risk mitigation strategies.
- •Guide teams in developing and updating Project Quality Plans.
- •Ensure implementation of technical document standards and policies.
- •Lead development of office quality plans for the region.
- •Monitor office metrics related to risk, quality, and sustainability.
- •Participate in hiring processes for senior technical staff.
- •Act as lead quality reviewer for large projects.
- •Establish strategies for capturing and sharing institutional knowledge.
- •Write technical articles on quality subjects.
- •Evaluate and guide the introduction of new building technologies.
- •Initiate regular office forums to share technical insights.
- •Lead mentoring and training for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- •Minimum Bachelor s degree in a relevant field required.
- •Minimum 18 years of related professional experience in Architecture and or Engineering.
- •Experience includes 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and commercial projects.
- •At least 3 years in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects.
- •Current Architectural Registration or Professional Engineer license in the United States required.
- •Demonstrated focus on quality.
- •Experience leading all technical aspects with production teams on large, complex projects of more than 200M construction costs.
- •Must have extensive experience designing, documenting, coordinating and administering the construction of significant healthcare projects.
- •Expertise in healthcare codes, standards and familiarity with proven solutions to address often wildly conflicting requirements between building authorities, client needs, construction technologies and insurance provisions is essential.
- •Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- •Strong business acumen, technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team is essential.
- •Advanced understanding of REVIT and BIM workflows.
- •Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Teams, and construction management software.
