Job Description
This position involves leading the strategy and management of large, complex design projects, overseeing project delivery, client relations, team leadership, and ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives are met within a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the overall strategy for project delivery on large, complex design projects.
- Lead large project teams to achieve design excellence, quality, budget, schedule, innovation, and profitability objectives.
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of large-scale, multi-year projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
- Establish and maintain partnering relationships with clients, including early engagement and expectation setting.
- Negotiate contracts and manage contractual obligations with clients and internal teams.
- Coordinate work efforts across multiple teams and workstreams to meet project milestones and ensure successful delivery.
- Implement quality assurance and quality control processes, monitor technical quality, and enforce standards.
- Manage team workload, provide leadership, mentorship, and constructive feedback to team members.
- Facilitate key meetings, presentations, and status updates with clients, internal teams, and leadership.
- Participate in business development activities and foster positive client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction, or related degree required.
- Minimum of 15 years of project management experience which includes significant experience in managing large, complex, multi-phase projects with budgets in excess of 150 million dollars and aggregate fees larger than 10 million dollars.
- Proven track record of managing projects with large complex teams that have achieved financial goals.
- Demonstrated strong client and team leadership skills, with the ability to lead clients and teams.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with MS Project, Deltek Project Planning, Revit, Microsoft Office, Deltek Vision, Bluebeam, and other data management software.
- Current licensure or registration in the United States preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- PMP Certification preferred.
