Job Description

The position is a Project Architect role responsible for leading the technical development, coordination, and management of large or multiple projects, ensuring design intent, compliance, quality, and client satisfaction throughout all phases from pre-design to construction administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of technical content and ensure compliance for large or multiple projects.
  • Manage project technical and production processes from pre-design through completion.
  • Coordinate disciplines to align with design intent and project goals.
  • Develop and oversee project documentation strategies and technical quality plans.
  • Translate design concepts into technical documentation and construction phases.
  • Integrate building performance and sustainable design goals into project solutions.
  • Monitor project documentation for contractual compliance and quality standards.
  • Lead coordination of all disciplines to ensure alignment with design intent.
  • Manage construction administration activities, including RFIs and submittals.
  • Supervise and mentor project team members to maintain technical quality and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 10 years of related professional experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects
  • At least 3 years of experience in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects
  • Experience working on large, complex projects
  • Current Architectural Registration in the United States
  • Demonstrated focus on quality
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements
  • Must possess business acumen
  • Must have strong client leadership skills
  • Must have strong technical leadership skills for production team
  • Must be capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff
  • Advanced knowledge in architectural discipline
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software
