Job Description
The Procurement Manager will lead sourcing and supplier management for raw materials and packaging, developing sourcing strategies to support Blueland's sustainable household cleaning products. The role requires experience in the CPG industry and a focus on environmentally responsible procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing strategy for raw materials, packaging, and contract manufacturing
- Manage supplier relationships and performance
- Oversee procurement processes for the product portfolio
Requirements
- Experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar sourcing and supplier management role within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
- Proven experience in procuring raw materials, packaging, and contract manufacturing for household cleaning goods.
- Strong background in developing and leading sourcing strategies for all raw material ingredients and packaging spend.
- Ability to lead supplier management activities effectively.
- Experience working with proprietary products and understanding of patent considerations is preferred but not explicitly required.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including technical services and product development.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices related to sourcing and procurement, especially in reducing single-use plastics and environmentally friendly materials.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier performance and cost data.
- Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
- Ability to operate within a salary range of $80,000 to $110,000.
- Availability to work full-time, with the ability to support remote work reimbursements and other benefits.
