Job Description
The Senior Staff Technical Program Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of hardware development and validation projects for Aurora's self-driving vehicle technology, working cross-functionally with engineering teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- •Plan, coordinate, and manage execution of hardware product validation for the Aurora Driver Kit
- •Provide support to the product integrity organization by managing resource prioritization to meet hardware development milestones
- •Lead planning, execution, and daily management of critical hardware validation efforts
- •Evaluate risks and communicate status to upper management and stakeholders
- •Manage cross-functional efforts for hardware validation and risk mitigation to balance schedule, cost, and quality
- •Develop and publish consolidated schedules aligning engineering development with program requirements
- •Ensure completion and maintenance of program documents, design reviews, change documentation, and risk analyses
- •Support hardware sustainment activities including root cause analysis, containment, corrective actions, and logistics
- •Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, Safety Engineering, and Supply Management teams
- •Introduce and support program management tools and processes to improve workflows and decision-making
Requirements
- •Experience managing hardware product validation with cross functional teams.
- •Experience with mechanical and electrical hardware development.
- •Experience with launching new hardware products to market and managing hardware product life cycles.
- •Strong technical understanding of hardware design and development process.
- •Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheets, MS Project, etc.
- •Experience with task management tools such as Jira Tools, Confluence, etc.
- •Able to be located in Mountain View, CA.
- •Ability to travel, up to 15%.
- •Experience supporting the development of TPM best practices.
