Job Description
The Release and Deployment Engineer will develop tools and processes for firmware updates, testing, and deployment of embedded systems in autonomous vehicles, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Build software support tools for embedded devices to perform firmware updates, provisioning, status retrieval, and data logging
- Develop release process tooling for building firmware, testing, validating requirements, generating release notes, and deploying to production
- Create cross-functional system integration solutions for deploying firmware to vehicle platforms and Hardware-in-the-Loop systems
- Maintain continuous integration infrastructure for firmware regression testing and hardware test platform management
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop visualization tools for tracking requirements, analyzing device performance, and debugging hardware/software issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 5-7 years of professional experience in software development or related roles
- Excellent C and Python software design and programming skills
- Experience with software development practices for safety critical systems
- Experience working with embedded devices and general automotive network systems such as Ethernet and CAN
- Experience with CI/CD systems, developer productivity, and developer tools
- Knowledge of Linux fundamentals and system architecture
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
