Job Description
An Electrical Engineering Technician responsible for building and assembling self-driving vehicle components, including wiring harnesses and circuit boards, while collaborating with hardware engineering teams to support Aurora's development of autonomous vehicle technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble self-driving vehicle components, including sub-assemblies, wiring harnesses, and PCBA solder rework
- Work closely with Hardware Engineering and related teams to support prototyping and development
- Follow safety standards and meet internal project deadlines
- Document work accurately and maintain quality testing of harnesses and circuit boards
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and analyze electrical issues in prototypes
Requirements
- Possess strong electrical skills, including the ability to read wiring schematics and layouts, redline drawings, and assemble wiring harnesses.
- Have a strong background in electrical wiring, harness building, and surface-mount circuit board assembly.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical tools and equipment such as crimpers, dies, multimeters, presses, connectors, contacts, wire gauges, soldering equipment, and microscopes.
- Exhibit exceptional craftsmanship with the ability to pin out and quality test harnesses and circuit boards.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in ESD research and development (R&D) and prototyping spaces.
- Be proficient in using software tools including Jira, Confluence, PLM, CAD, and other relevant software.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to problem-solve, diagnose, analyze, and isolate electrical and hardware problems.
- Be proficient with Windows and Google productivity Suite, specifically Google Sheets.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Have a customer service attitude with the ability to multitask under pressure in an unstructured environment.
- Follow safety standards and meet internal deadlines.
- Work with limited oversight.
- Seek continuing education and development opportunities.

Hourly pay range of $36.50 - $54.75 per hour
