Job Description
A Survey CAD Technician at Atwell, LLC, is responsible for working on land development, renewable energy, and construction projects by producing detailed drawings, analyzing survey data, and supporting design teams using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software in a flexible and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- •Support design staff by guiding drafting practices and procedures
- •Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to produce project drawings
- •Generate project-specific drawings such as ALTA surveys, final plats, maps of dedication, and construction layouts
- •Review survey data to analyze existing site conditions and legal documents
- •Edit and modify plans based on revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients
- •Communicate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to coordinate workflow and meet chargeability goals
Requirements
- •Minimum of 5 years of previous AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
- •High School Diploma is required
- •Thorough understanding of ALTA surveys, plats, topographical surveys, boundaries, and construction staking
- •Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) is preferred
- •Ability to utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to complete assignments in accordance with Atwell's standards
- •Ability to generate various project-specific drawings including ALTA surveys, final plats, maps of dedication, construction layouts, and construction staking
- •Ability to review project survey data to analyze existing site conditions, considering legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents
- •Ability to responsibly edit and modify plans in line with revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients, following directives closely
- •Excellent communication skills to maintain open communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders regarding workflow status
- •Resourcefulness in supporting design staff by guiding drafting practices and procedures
