Job Description
The Director of Civil Engineering for Land Development is responsible for leading regional land development projects, managing a team of engineers, driving business development efforts, and developing strategic plans to grow the company's presence in the Pennsylvania market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of civil engineers and support staff
- Oversee planning, design, and execution of land development projects
- Develop and execute regional strategies for growth and profitability
- Implement business development plans to expand market presence and secure new projects
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proposals and negotiations
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences
- Ensure successful delivery of land development projects from inception to completion
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering, focusing on land development
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans
- Experience overseeing the planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timeline requirements
- Experience developing and implementing regional strategies to drive growth and profitability in the land development market
- Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, including preparing proposals, presentations, and negotiations
- Experience coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction
