Job Description
A Tax Manager role at a fast-growing CPA and advisory firm responsible for leading tax services, helping clients maximize opportunities, and contributing to the firm's growth within a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee client tax engagements and compliance processes.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns and related documentation.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and team members.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to maximize client opportunities.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax within a professional services or CPA firm setting.
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Show proven ability to manage and review complex tax engagements for clients across various industries.
- Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax work.
- Have experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff members, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Be capable of developing and maintaining strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery.
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Possess proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of tax planning strategies and opportunities for clients.
- Be committed to continuous professional development and staying current with industry changes and regulations.
