Job Description
A Senior Tax Associate at Aprio will work with a dynamic team to provide tax planning and compliance services to clients, helping them maximize opportunities and supporting their growth in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with tax planning and compliance strategies.
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for clients.
- Research complex tax issues and provide guidance to clients.
- Identify tax savings opportunities and advise clients accordingly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation, planning, or consulting within a professional services environment.
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrate proficiency in federal and state tax laws and regulations relevant to individual, corporate, partnership, and/or pass-through entities.
- Show experience in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns and related documentation.
- Possess strong analytical skills to interpret and apply tax laws and regulations to client situations.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members, including explaining complex tax concepts clearly.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and manage multiple client engagements.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work performed.
- Possess or be working towards a CPA license or other relevant professional certification (preferred but not explicitly mandatory).
- Be willing to stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations through continuing education and professional development.
- Have the physical ability to perform work in an office environment, including sitting for extended periods and using standard office equipment.
