Job Description

A Senior Accounting Manager at Aprio will lead accounting and managed services for clients, providing strategic financial guidance, overseeing accounting operations, and supporting growth initiatives within a dynamic, fast-growing CPA and advisory firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage accounting functions for clients, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Lead and develop accounting teams to deliver high-quality services
  • Review financial statements and reports for clients
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their accounting needs and provide strategic advice
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and accounting standards
  • Assist in the implementation of accounting systems and processes
  • Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for new services or clients

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in managing accounting functions.
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations applicable to the industry.
  • Show proven ability to lead and manage a team of accounting professionals effectively.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members across various locations and languages.
  • Have experience working in a fast-growing, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Be capable of overseeing financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls within the organization.
  • Possess the ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic insights to clients and management.
  • Be proficient in accounting software and tools relevant to the firm’s operations, such as QuickBooks, Excel, or other ERP systems.
  • Have the physical ability to perform typical office tasks, including sitting for extended periods, using a computer, and attending meetings.
  • Be willing to work in a flexible environment, including remote or hybrid work arrangements, as required by the firm.
