Job Description
The Engineering Manager at Amperity will lead a collaborative team to develop advanced data pipelines and integrate AI capabilities, enabling clients to unlock the full potential of their customer data. This role involves managing a team of software engineers to solve complex challenges at the intersection of AI, data, and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- •Manage a team of 6 software engineers.
- •Develop advanced data pipelines and create flexible marketing solutions.
- •Integrate AI capabilities for deeper insights and data activation.
- •Ingest and clean large amounts of data daily.
- •Train machine-learning models to build a probabilistic customer knowledge graph.
- •Realize research algorithms for high-scale production usage.
- •Enable complex, real-time queries across aggregated data views.
- •Integrate with tools and partners in the ecosystem.
- •Publish insight-enriched data assets and query results.
- •Create a user experience that enables data-driven insights and actions.
Requirements
- •Two or more years of software management experience.
- •Eight or more years of software development experience, with experience in big data systems or large-scale distributed systems including hands-on engineering work in the past five years.
- •Experience building empowered, autonomous, psychologically safe teams that improve their working model.
- •Demonstrated experience balancing SaaS expertise with shipping value to customers.
- •Leadership experience as the primary owner of complex projects involving coordination in-team and across teams, and between customers, product management, and engineering.
- •Experience adapting and transferring knowledge and insights from prior contexts into new environments.
- •Proficiency in CI/CD tools Jenkins and GitLab.
- •Experience deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
