Job Description
The Sr. Software Engineer at AlertMedia is responsible for developing and maintaining scalable full-stack web applications using technologies like Elixir, Python, JavaScript, and AWS, contributing to innovative solutions in emergency communication and threat management while collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- •Learn and understand the AlertMedia platform and tools for customer use
- •Develop and deliver software solutions using Python, JavaScript, Elixir, and other web technologies
- •Collaborate in an Agile environment using tools like Git, JIRA, CircleCI, and Slack
- •Contribute to innovative development and suggest new ideas to enhance the product
- •Communicate effectively with engineering and product teams
- •Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field (preferred).
- •6-8 years of experience building scalable applications with modern frameworks.
- •Experience with Python, JavaScript, Django, React, Elixir (experience with Elixir is required; experience with Python, JavaScript, Django, React is a plus).
- •Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud platforms (must have cloud experience).
- •Development experience with Postgres and Redis.
- •Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage working on multiple projects in parallel.
- •Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- •Willingness to learn from team members with both more and less experience.
- •Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- •This is a full-time, remote position based in Mexico, and the candidate must reside in Mexico.
