Job Description
A Sr. Software Engineer role focused on designing and developing features for AlertMedia's travel risk management platform using full-stack web technologies, collaborating across teams to create impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop features for the Travel Risk Management product, including third-party integrations
- Learn and utilize the AlertMedia platform, tools, and technologies to support customer needs
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams using Agile methodologies and tools
- Contribute to technological innovation and propose new ideas to enhance the product line
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field (preferred).
- 6-8 years of experience building scalable applications with MVC event-driven frameworks using Python and JavaScript tech stack.
- Experience with Linux-based containers using tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other storage technologies.
- Established practice of writing unit and integration tests.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage working on multiple projects in parallel.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to effectively work cross-functionally in a fast-paced challenging environment.
- Strong English proficiency in written and oral communication.
- Willingness to learn and work with JavaScript, Next.js, React, Python, Django, and other web technologies.
- Experience designing and developing features for products, including third-party integrations.
- Experience working in an Agile environment using tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid position with 1 day a week in the Reforma area of Mexico City.
