Job Description
The role involves leading and developing a high-performing mid-market sales team focused on opening and closing enterprise-level accounts, implementing sales strategies, coaching team members, and collaborating across departments to drive growth and achieve sales targets in a SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Mid-Market Account Executives to achieve sales targets.
- Provide strategic guidance and active participation in complex sales deals and customer meetings.
- Develop and implement strategies to target, engage, and close enterprise-level opportunities.
- Identify key stakeholders within enterprise accounts and build internal champions.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze sales data to improve team performance.
- Forecast sales results and ensure CRM data accuracy for pipeline management.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to align strategies and improve the customer journey.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments with enterprise potential.
- Actively participate in sales cycles and co-sell with team members to close deals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of progressive sales experience, with a strong emphasis on selling B2B SaaS or complex solutions to mid-market and ideally some enterprise accounts.
- At least 2 years of sales management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing sales teams.
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas as both an individual contributor and a sales manager.
- Demonstrated experience in helping sales teams break into and close business with larger, more complex enterprise organizations.
- A player-coach mentality with the willingness and ability to actively participate in sales cycles and co-sell alongside your team.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to innovate, adapt, and drive results within a structured organizational environment.
- Exceptional coaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM software, e.g., Salesforce, and sales engagement tools.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Strong preference for candidates based in Austin.
