Job Description

The HR Operations Generalist is responsible for managing payroll, benefits administration, HR systems, compliance, and employee inquiries to ensure smooth HR operations and an outstanding employee experience at AlertMedia.

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll, benefits administration, and leave programs ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain and support HR systems, including data integrity, reporting, and user training
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries and HR operations support
  • Administer benefits, open enrollment, and benefits billing processes in partnership with brokers
  • Prepare, process, and audit semi-monthly payroll accurately and timely
  • Support compensation activities, including salary adjustments and promotions
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance related to HR and payroll functions
  • Oversee compliance projects such as EEO-1, SOC2, and 5500 testing
  • Administer Leave of Absence and accommodations programs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline HR processes and workflows

Requirements

  • 3 years HR operations experience, specifically in payroll, benefits, and managing an HR tech stack including data automation and reporting.
  • Experience with Rippling as an HRIS strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter and team player, willing to jump in on all projects as needed.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in payroll, compensation, benefits, leave management, and employment law.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding support to all employees.
  • Lead with a continuous improvement mindset and enjoy optimizing and automating processes.
  • Ability to maintain data integrity in HR systems, including employee life cycle changes, manager access, and extensive reporting.
  • Ability to serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries, managing HR Operations Jira ticketing system and responding in a timely, customer-centric, and friendly manner.
  • Experience managing benefits administration, benefits billing, integrations, and open enrollment processes, and partnering with benefits brokers.
  • Experience administering Leave of Absence (LOA) and Accommodations programs, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and providing timely support and communications to employees.
  • Ability to prepare, process, and audit semi-monthly payroll accurately and timely.
  • Experience providing compensation support, including quarterly compensation cycle report creation, approval of salary actions, promotions, and job re-leveling.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Experience overseeing compliance-based projects such as EEO-1, SOC2, 5500 nondiscrimination testing for pre-tax benefits and 401k, and training.
  • Ability to keep up to date on changing federal, state, and local HR and payroll laws.
  • High level of discretion and ability to act as a trusted HR resource for employees.
