Job Description

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across multi-site data centers, while supporting automation, incident management, and collaboration with various engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement private, public, and hybrid cloud solutions
  • Monitor, maintain, and update system configurations and baselines
  • Implement availability and performance monitoring frameworks
  • Develop and test high availability and disaster recovery plans
  • Troubleshoot and remediate infrastructure issues
  • Create automation scripts and frameworks for systems management
  • Support and manage data center hardware, including servers, storage, and network equipment

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in private cloud, public cloud, SAN, and networking
  • Working knowledge of hyper-converged infrastructure
  • Experience supporting multi-site and hot-hot architectures
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, including security patching using SCCM, Failover Clustering, DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory
  • Experience with VMware data center stack vSphere, Cloud Foundations, Omnissa Horizon VDI, and the Aria Suite
  • Understanding of storage infrastructure solutions such as NetApp Data ONTAP and Pure Storage Purity OS
  • Proficiency in block FC, iSCSI, and file NFS, SMB CIFS storage protocols
  • Familiarity with Cisco MDS SAN switching, zoning, and fabric configuration
  • Working foundation of datacenter networking fundamentals, including layers of traffic, VLANs, and network segmentation
  • Experience with Cisco UCS Manager and Intersight for compute management
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment using Agile methodologies
  • Self-directed approach with a high degree of initiative to propose new solutions, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
  • Ability to perform hardware diagnostics, replacements, and upgrades, including rack, cable, and install servers, storage, and network hardware
  • Experience managing structured cabling fiber and copper, labeling, and cable tracing
  • Ability to document rack elevation, DCIM, and asset inventory
  • Support OOB management setup and coordinate equipment deliveries, decommissions, and secure disposal
