Job Description
The Development Partnerships Manager is responsible for leading individual fundraising efforts on the West Coast, cultivating relationships with donors, and expanding Acumen's supporter community to achieve regional fundraising goals.
Responsibilities
- •Lead all fundraising activities and develop relationships with existing and new donors in the West Coast region.
- •Identify, cultivate, and close 6-figure gifts from individual donors.
- •Manage and mentor the Development Partnerships Associate, West Coast.
- •Build strategic relationships with key advisors, connectors, and networks to expand donor base.
- •Develop multi-year, personalized engagement plans for donors.
- •Plan and execute community engagement events to cultivate philanthropy and enhance Acumen's presence.
- •Partner with regional leads to develop engagement experiences for specific donor communities.
Requirements
- •Minimum of 5 years of experience in individual fundraising and relationship management with a personal fundraising goal.
- •Ability to manage their schedule efficiently as a proactive, independent person.
- •Effective verbal and written storytelling skills to communicate in a compelling manner.
- •Proven track record as a capable networker with experience building and maintaining strategic relationships.
- •Relationships within the philanthropy ecosystem are a plus.
- •Ability to collaborate effectively with and across teams, seeking and providing constructive feedback.
- •Self-reflective and aligned with Acumen values.
- •Permanent authorization to work in the US.
- •Ability to travel within the West Coast approximately 25% of the time.
- •Willingness to undertake international travel once a year or as needed.
- •Location flexibility to work in either San Francisco or Los Angeles.

- •Compensation range of $94,500 to $117,000 plus an annual performance-based bonus
