Job Description
The Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and treasury management for Chariot Energy, ensuring adherence to GAAP and company policies while leading the accounting team and developing internal controls.
Responsibilities
- •Record daily and monthly transactional activity adhering to GAAP and company accounting policies
- •Prepare financial reports and perform account reconciliations
- •Maintain general ledgers
- •Oversee all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and treasury management
- •Develop and enforce internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial data integrity
- •Oversee and support the accounting team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- •Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- •Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications such as SAP Concur.
- •Experience adhering to GAAP and company accounting policies.
- •Ability to prepare financial reports and perform account reconciliations.
- •Experience in overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and treasury management.
- •Demonstrated ability to develop and enforce internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- •Ability to lead and support an accounting team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- •Willingness to work onsite in Houston, Texas, and be within commutable distance to the Houston office.
